We are currently recruiting for the following role:
Computer Science and ICT Teacher
The Computer Science & ICT teacher will lead delivery of lessons, plan their curriculum, build cross-curricular bridges for where technology can support learning, and provide a quality learning experience to all age groups up to and including GCSE classes.
You will be expected to teach KS1 - KS4 classes, as well as to organise and manage a variety of learning experiences. The ideal candidate will be qualified to deliver Computer Science to GCSE, and have experience teaching at secondary level to GCSE.
Compensation for this position aligns with our pay-rates, complemented by an array of invaluable perks. The welfare and safety of our students will always be our priority. We do everything possible to secure our young people’s safety.
The New School has specialist staff who lead on safeguarding our young people, including liaising with social services. All our colleagues are responsible for safeguarding children and young people.
Guiding principles
Ensure we practice safer recruitment in checking the suitability of staff and volunteers to work with children.
Raise awareness of child protection issues and equip children with the skills needed to keep them safe.
Have procedures in place for identifying and reporting cases, or suspected cases, of abuse, working alongside outside agencies to protect our students.
Support students who have been abused in accordance with his/her agreed child protection plan.
Establish a safe environment in which children can learn and develop.
Be vigilant for signs of abuse.
